Beamex is pleased to announce the establishment of a wholly foreign owned enterprise in China from January 1st 2023. The subsidiary represents an important milestone in terms of Beamex’s progress in Asia and reaffirms its position as a leading global player in the calibration industry.
The Beamex ePG is a portable, battery-operated pressure generator (pump) for industrial pressure calibration applications in ranges from -0.85 bar (-12.4 psi) up to 20 bar (300 psi). It provides an effortless and quick way to generate pressure.
The typical purpose of a calibration software is to store the results of your calibrations. At Beamex we want to help you to also digitalize, and as far as possible, automate your calibration process.
The most significant impact overall is that Salt River Project has been able to save about 30 minutes per calibration using an automated approach. Calibration tasks that would normally take a month to two months to complete during a unit overhaul can be performed in a few weeks, and time is money.
Martin Bedard, Calibration and Program Supervisor, Endress+Hauser, Canada
Previously, calibration was primarily done with manual and paper-based processes. The certificate was on paper, which was signed and stored in binders. After implementing the new calibration management process, the entire process takes place digitally, from measurement to signing and archiving.
Tomas Wahlgren, System Owner (GOI), AstraZeneca, Sweden
All in all, the plant has experienced dramatic time savings and implemented a more reliable calibration strategy while realizing a 100% return on investment in the first year.
Robert Hopkins DC Water, Process Control System Specialist, DC Water, US
With Beamex, thanks to automation we have cut the number of steps needed to perform a calibration, saving 15 minutes per device. While this might not sound like much on its own, it adds up to a time saving of over 4,000 hours per year – a financial saving of millions of pounds, which is astonishing.
James Jepson, Control & Instrumentation Systems Officer, National Grid, UK
For the most modern brewery in the world I think it was an excellent decision to choose the best calibration management system, the Beamex CMX Calibration Software and Beamex multifunction calibrators.
Armando Rivero Rubalcaba, Head of instrumentation, Heiniken, Spain
We are pleased to have found Beamex, a partner whose professional calibration software CMX we could integrate into our Siemens Lifecycle Management Suite.
Kathrin Kolberg, Head of Sales and Marketing, Services for Process Automation, Siemens AG
Beamex has become our one stop shop for all our calibration requirements, it has streamlined the whole calibration process and helps to monitor and maintain compliance on site.

As technology democratises, the energy sector mirrors its evolutionary shifts from centralisation to decentralisation. Beamex’s Antonio Matamala highlights the need to advance while ensuring balance.
Digitalisation is accelerating at a rapid pace. So much so, that companies may be missing out on potentially revolutionary innovations emerging from disruptive technologies. How can they keep pace? The answer lies in democratising technology and data.
In the evolving landscape of data security, calibration data holds a unique significance often overlooked. Join Beamex’s Heikki Laurila as he explores the importance of safeguarding this ‘gold’ in the digital age.
In the face of escalating cyber warfare, it is now imperative for all stakeholders to prioritise the security of our energy systems. Beamex’s Antonio Matamala discusses the actions required to safeguard society.
With tools like AI making it easier for entities and individuals to access sophisticated cyber tools, the threat of a potential Black Swan cybersecurity event has increased. Here’s how process industries can take steps to guard themselves from this threat.
AI’s potential impact on cybersecurity has many organisations concerned. Process industries, many of whom are in different stages of their digitalisation journeys, will be forced to find ways to manage the threat.
In a world driven by AI, machines are transforming reality. However, rapidly developing technology makes data breaches harder to detect, providing attackers with new tools to manipulate data and deploy complex cyber-attacks at an unimaginable scale and speed.
Decoupling could lead to redesigned supply chains and the rethinking of manufacturing practices. What can we expect, and why do I see calibration playing the role of an equaliser? Read on to know more.
Renewable energy could pave the way for a more sustainable and equitable world. Beamex’s Antonio Matamala explores its possible impact on geopolitics and how nations are unlocking energy self-sufficiency.
As the economic cold war between China and the USA escalates, industries across the world are bracing themselves for its fallout. From redesigning supply chains and establishing new manufacturing systems, companies are having to rethink established practices.
Amid mounting tensions, the Great Decoupling signifies the dramatic disentanglement between the US and China, fuelling concerns of a fragmented global economy. This article contextualises the issue and explores the implications for the wider supply chain.
ChatGPT is one of the biggest technological revelations of recent times. What impresses me is that this large language model (LLM) is easy to use, making it feel like you’re interacting with another person. It was also impressive how quickly marketing companies began capitalising on this generic AI chatbot to sell “optimisation” for specific purposes.
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) has exploded into the public consciousness since the turn of 2023. Its ability to generate images, compose songs, make videos and write scientific papers has captured the imagination of millions, with ChatGPT setting a record for having the fastest-growing user base.
With the world grappling with break-neck technological innovation, a rising population and the need to do more with less, could regulations emerge as the key to guiding future growth?
