Frequently asked questions
Yes. Beamex maintains a comprehensive ISMS with SOPs and policies. The company is ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified, with additional certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 17025, and ISO/IEC 80079‑34. Certificates are publicly available.
Access to headquarters, data centers, and critical areas is restricted to authorized personnel via RFID access, alarms, and monitored entry, with subsidiaries following similar locally adapted practices.
LOGiCAL: Data in transit uses TLS ≥1.2; databases, backups, and logs use Transparent Data Encryption (TDE). Key management is handled by Azure.
CMX: Sensitive elements like passwords are encrypted; endpoints use disk encryption (BitLocker).
LOGiCAL undergoes quarterly security testing by a CREST-certified provider. Internal scans are monthly (internal) and weekly (internet-facing). CMX relies on customer-managed infrastructure; Beamex provides security analysis documents.
Yes. Customers may perform remote, postal, or on-site audits, including pharmaceutical and regulatory inspections.
LOGiCAL is a SaaS solution hosted on Microsoft Azure (West Europe). It uses HTTPS/TLS ≥1.2 and a multi-tenant architecture to isolate customer data. Azure infrastructure meets ISO 27001, SOC, and other cloud security standards.
LOGiCAL processes data primarily in the EU. GDPR compliance is ensured via the Privacy Policy, Data Protection Policy, and Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Customers can request deletion (“right to be forgotten”), and data breach notifications follow GDPR’s 72-hour requirement. CMX is on-premises, with the customer fully responsible for data storage and access.
CMX: Customer-managed infrastructure, backups, and OS/DB maintenance.
LOGiCAL: Fully hosted by Beamex, including infrastructure security, backups, and updates. Customers manage only tenant configuration, users, roles, and calibration data.
Yes. Subcontractors are audited regularly. LOGiCAL sub-processors are listed in the DPA, and all suppliers undergo standard quality and risk assessments.
Access is managed via SOPs, with role-based access control (RBAC), SSO (Microsoft Entra ID or Okta), and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Password policies enforce complexity, length, and rotation.
Yes. CMX maintains non-editable audit trails including timestamps, user identity, and comments. LOGiCAL logs usage and security events via Azure and SIEM tools.
LOGiCAL: Azure backups replicated to Beamex servers; RPO 15 minutes (first 7 days), then daily.
CMX: Customers manage SQL Server backups; Beamex recommends regular testing.
Business continuity plans and DR tests are performed regularly.
LOGiCAL and cloud infrastructure are monitored with SIEM/XDR tools (Microsoft Sentinel). Incidents trigger documented response procedures, escalation, and stakeholder notification.
Enterprise integration without custom complexity
Beamex Business Bridge enables structured, reliable integration between Beamex calibration software and ERP/CMMS systems such as SAP and IBM Maximo. This enables:
- API-first architecture
- Standardized data exchange mechanisms
- Bi-directional synchronization of work orders and results
- Controlled error handling and logging transparency
The result: a fully digital calibration workflow embedded within your enterprise system landscape without custom connectors or fragile point-to-point integrations.

Let our experts help you to find the best software solution for your needs.

Risk reduction and legacy replacement
Outdated calibration systems, spreadsheets, and custom-built tools increase operational risk and create unnecessary IT burden. They drive high costs, depend on internal expertise, fragment data across sites, and complicate audits.
Beamex replaces legacy solutions with a standardized, vendor-managed application that reduces maintenance overhead and eliminates shadow IT. Historical data can be migrated in a controlled manner, preserving traceability while reducing shadow IT and infrastructure burden.
Bridging IT and OT
Calibration connects enterprise systems such as SAP and other ERP platforms with operational devices used in production. Poorly managed integrations can create security risks, uncontrolled data flows, and compliance risks.
Beamex ensures secure, structured communication between enterprise and field systems. Digital workflows replace manual transfers, providing traceability, enforcing separation of duties, and enabling IT and operations to collaborate confidently.
