Customer Experiences

We found that when using the Beamex MC6 with AMS, we are able to perform double the amount of calibrations in the same amount of time. For example, in situations where we performed 12-13 instruments a day, we can now complete 24-30. It doubles productivity while increasing accuracy of the documentation.

Minimize the risk of errors and secure data integrity

The seamless integration of hardware and software minimizes the risk of manual errors in re-keying data. As the speed of business continues to accelerate, more real-time data and faster data collection is required. Quick and reliable data adds value for better decision-making.

How it works

In Emerson’s AMS Device Manager, calibrations are planned and work orders can be sent to the MC6, with the calibration due date and work order number, as well as related information. Then, calibrations are performed in the field using the MC6. Afterward, calibration results are uploaded back into AMS where calibration results (As Found/As Left)  are stored the work order is closed.

Complete work orders faster

The MC6 and Emerson AMS Device Manager intergrations allows for the electronic transfer of data which saves time from manually re-entering data. This automation creates an environment where work orders sent from AMS to the MC6 so work can be tracked and accomplished in less time.

System Requirements

  • AMS 13.5 version
  • AMS Device Manager’s Calibration Assistant SNAP-ON
  • Beamex MC6 calibrator with “Documenting Calibrator” and “Partner Communication” options

*Note that the communication driver works only with standard a MC6 or MC6 Workstation, not with a MC6-Ex.

Further functionality with Beamex CMX calibration software

In addition to the Beamex MC6 and Emerson AMS’s Device Manager, the capability to link Beamex CMX calibration software to Emerson AMS Device Manager is possible. This offers additional functionality for those customers where Emerson AMS Device Manager is not enough.
