The HART communication protocol (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) is a widely used industrial communication standard for smart field instruments. It enables digital communication to be superimposed on traditional analog 4–20 mA signals, allowing two-way communication between control systems and field devices such as transmitters, controllers, and valves.
