Service Manager

Location: Marietta, GA                        Basis: Permanent

The Service Manager will be responsible for leading the service department of the Marietta office; making sure that all needs are met and Services are running efficiently.

Key Strategic Responsibilities:

  • To support the President by:
    • Being responsible for efficiency and quality of the service and after-sales business assuring an excellent customer service in line with the premium Beamex brand.
    • Ensuring top-line to bottom-line mechanics for service are secure and recommend areas for process improvement

Key Operational Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the personnel and overseeing functions of Laboratory
  • Focus on after sales and service utilization and availability

Technical Expertise:

  • 5 years’ experience managing a service department (preferably field calibration services or laboratory calibration services)
  • 5 years’ experience in personnel management
  • Extensive experience in Calibration (pressure, temperature and electric signals)
  • Knowledge of Metrology practices
  • Has strong commercial awareness; experience of working with line management
  • Knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Office packages
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (customer database systems such as Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Ability to evaluate current and incoming staff, and make personnel recommendations to the President

  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong team leader with organisational and project management skills. Willing and able to learn new areas of technology
  • Ability to execute small, concurrent projects and providing hands-on support to the direct reports when so required
  • Motivated self-starter able to work in an unsupervised environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate colleagues and direct reports
  • Enjoys working closely with business colleagues – both internal and external
  • Strong attention to detail / highly numerate, while having experience in carrying out analysis and writing reports based upon that analysis

Qualifications:

  • BSc or Higher in related field of study.
