More Accurate Temperature Calibration with
Beamex MC5

Introducing the PRT sensor customization functionality for Beamex’s MC5, MC5-IS and MC5P calibrators. Beamex now offers the possibility to support customized PRT (Pt) sensors and use them with MC5, MC5-IS and MC5P calibrators. When a PRT sensor is calibrated, it often contains an error in relation to nominal values. Now the MC5 can compensate for this error, enabling the user to measure temperature much more accurately using a PRT sensor connected to the MC5.

All new MC5, MC5-IS and MC5P calibrators delivered from the beginning of 2006 have PRT option automatically installed, free of charge. The calibrators of existing customers may also be up-graded with this option at an optional price. If a calibrator is sent for re-calibration to Beamex’s calibration laboratory, the option will be installed free of charge.

Happy Birthday, Eero!

Eero Halonen, one of the founders of Beamex, celebrated his 70th birthday 12 May 2006. The following week a small party was organized for Eero at Beamex in Pietarsaari, Finland. Eero retired from Beamex seven years ago after being the Managing Director of the company for 23 years, from 1975 to 1998. He is a pioneer of the calibration industry and a central person in the history of Beamex. Eero still keeps very close contacts with the company and its people.

The entire Beamex staff wishes a happy birthday and all the best to you, Eero!

Mobile calibration trolley

MCS100 is an extremely versatile calibration system for workshops. In addition to a complete test and calibration bench or desktop cabinet, the MCS100 is available as a mobile trolley as well. The MCS100 calibration trolley is a mobile calibration system, which allows the measurement and calibration of modules to be moved outside a confined work area. It is compact and easy to move from one location to another. If flexibility is what you are looking for, the MCS100 mobile trolley is the solution.

Beamex Limited (UK) User Group Meeting in Finland

The User Group Meeting is a yearly tradition for Beamex Limited (UK). This year, the meeting was held at the Beamex headquarters in Pietarsaari, Finland. A group of Beamex Limited’s customers participated the 2-day event, which included product presentations, open discussions and technical training workshops. Beamex’s production, calibration laboratory and service department were also introduced to the customers in more detail.

Customer companies from various industries, such as the power, pharmaceuticals and aerospace industries, attended the meeting. Many of the delegates had already attended a User Group Meeting several times before. However, this was the first time the event had ever been held in Finland and it was a real success. Beamex had the opportunity to learn new things and to receive valuable feedback from the customers. Correspondingly, the customers learned from each other and from the experts working at Beamex as well. This year the topics of the event focused on CMX V2 calibration management software and its new features and options.
